Job Summary
The Compliance Officer will oversee and ensure GoRocky’s adherence to all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and standards in the Philippines. This role involves managing regulatory compliance related to the company’s website, licensing, advertising, partnerships, and promotional activities. This role is critical to ensuring GoRocky operates within the legal framework governing healthcare services and e-health platforms in the Philippines, safeguarding the company’s reputation and enabling sustainable growth.
Job Responsbilities
- Ensure GoRocky’s website and platform comply with Philippine healthcare regulations in accordance with RA 9711 (FDA Act of 2009), RA 10918 (Philippine Pharmacy Act), and related DOH guidelines.
- Manage the acquisition, renewal, and maintenance of all necessary licenses and permits for operating as a healthcare platform, including coordination with the Department of Health (DOH), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory bodies.
- Monitor and ensure compliance of all advertising and promotional materials with applicable laws and guidelines, including registration of promotions with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
- Establish and maintain compliant agreements and memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with partner pharmacies, clinics, and other healthcare providers, ensuring all partnerships meet regulatory standards.
- Implement and oversee data privacy and security measures consistent with the Philippine Data Privacy Act and the Health Privacy Code, particularly regarding patient health information and electronic medical records.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external regulators to conduct regular compliance audits, reporting, and corrective actions as needed to avoid sanctions or penalties.
- Stay updated on changes in healthcare laws, regulations, and best practices in the Philippines and advise management on necessary adjustments to company policies and operations.
- Facilitate training and awareness programs for staff on compliance requirements and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Pharmacy, Law, Public Health, or related field.
- Experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, or legal advisory preferably within the Philippine healthcare sector.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine healthcare laws, licensing requirements, electronic prescription regulations, and advertising standards.
- Familiarity with data privacy laws and patient information protection.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
