Founders Launchpad is an industry agnostic early-stage startup accelerator, which provides funding, and guidance to high-potential tech startups to help them launch and/or scale their businesses. FL is based in Metro Manila and offers co-living and co-working space to the startups for the duration of the program to reach startups from all over the Philippines.
Job Summary
Founders Launchpad is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Finance Associate to join our growing team. You will assist with financial operations, ensure compliance with local tax regulations, and manage internal accounting using Xero. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their finance career to gain hands-on experience, grow with the company, and play a key role in shaping the financial foundation of our accelerator and the startups we support.
Job Responsibilities
Internal Financial Management
- Assist with managing day-to-day financial operations of Founders Launchpad including budgeting, forecasting, reporting
- Develop and maintain accurate financial records using Xero.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for our company
- Consult our portfolio companies as needed.
Tax Compliance
- Handle local tax issues, ensuring compliance with Philippine regulations
Accounting Systems: Implement and manage Xero accounting software and other systems to streamline financial processes.
Cross-Industry Experience
- Engage with portfolio companies across various industries, gaining insights and adapting financial strategies to different business models and market conditions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to drive financial success and support overall business objectives.
Qualifications
- CPA designation preferred.
- With at least 1 year of experience in accounting, finance, and tax compliance in the Philippines.
- Experience working with startups or in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with Xero or similar accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
