Data Infrastructure Engineer

We’re looking for a Data Infrastructure Engineer who can design, optimize, and maintain the core data systems that power LenderLink’s platform.

About LenderLink

LenderLink is an API Credit Network built on Open Finance principles, enabling secure and efficient credit-data exchange among digital lenders, collection agencies, and credit / alternative data providers. We empower partners to make smarter, faster, and fairer credit decisions through our scalable platform.

We are ISO 27001 Certified and double Gold winner at the 2025 KMC Startup Awards for Startup of the Year and Customer Experience Excellence. Our infrastructure supports the next generation of credit systems across Southeast Asia.

About the Role

Join us in building the future of credit infrastructure in the Philippines!

We’re looking for a Data Infrastructure Engineer who can design, optimize, and maintain the core data systems that power LenderLink’s platform. This role requires strong ownership across the full data engineering lifecycle—schema design, ETL/ELT development, API data flows, pipeline optimization, and scalable cloud-native architecture.

You will work closely with engineering, product, and data teams to ensure fast, reliable, and high-quality data movement across our credit network. Your work will directly influence product performance, operational efficiency, and the overall stability of our data ecosystem.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize data structures in high-throughput API-driven workloads
  • Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for structured, semi-structured, and streaming data
  • Design and develop data models, and services that ensure reliable interoperability between lenders, bureaus, and partners
  • Optimize database and query performance across operational and analytical workloads
  • Ensure high availability, data quality, monitoring, and observability across all data pipelines
  • Improve data ingestion, transformation, storage, and retrieval in a security-driven environment
  • Collaborate with internal teams to translate business needs into scalable data infrastructure solutions
  • Contribute to R&D around new technologies, data frameworks, and performance optimization strategies
  • Lead end-to-end data engineering initiatives—from scoping to deployment and long-term maintenance

Qualifications

  • Startup / fintech experience in APAC (ideally Philippines) is a strong advantage
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or backend data-heavy roles
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT development, workflow orchestration, and data pipeline optimization
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational + NoSQL databases (MongoDB is a plus)
  • Knowledge of API design, API-driven data flows, and integration best practices
  • Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) is a plus
  • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for data processing
  • Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, indexing, caching, and distributed data systems
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with engineering, product, and external partners
  • Analytical and systems-thinking mindset with a focus on reliability and performance

Why Join Us

  • Help shape the next generation of credit infrastructure in Southeast Asia, directly impacting financial inclusion
  • Work on high-visibility, mission-critical data systems that power real-world decision-making
  • Collaborate closely with leadership on architecture, scaling, and innovation
  • Competitive compensation + flexible work arrangements
  • Join a fast-growing fintech startup where your contributions create tangible impact
